Abandoned Malls & Cultists
A downloadable RPG
This is a game about urban exploration, summer adventures and magic. It has been inspired by Izzy Marsh’s Small Town Gothic . It is also heavily inspired by that one time I went doing urban exploration in a place where there were said to be Satanists and it turned out they were really there. But this version is a little funnier.
The typical adventuring party is composed by high-schoolers who are busy exploring places they are not supposed to look into. They don’t have that much resources, except their phones and very little common sense. They are not wizards, fighters or rogues, even if they might learn how to cast a spell, swing a bat or pick a lock. Equally, most of their opponents just want to be left alone. Cultists just want to finish their rituals. Dwellers of the dark places just want to keep dwelling in their dark places (please, sir, put down that torch). Police officers just want to sleep in their cars, instead of running into kids.
